Excellent food and good service. Enjoyed the pork loin immensely. Taking two stars away just because they've switched from candlelight to battery operated votives which makes it very difficult to see at night. I recommend using the flashlight on your phone if you want to see what you're eating or view the menu.

Food was fantastic along with the colonial ambiance! Usually they have people going through each room and singing but the covid times we live in! Been coming here since I was a kid and a trip to Williamsburg is never complete without a visit to the the Kings Arms Tavern

Closest thing to time travel I have ever experienced. I ordered prime rib and asked for horse radish. They brought out some very rough (coarse) horse radish and I was amazed that this would have been true to the time period of the revolutionary times this tavern was modeled after. Very authentic! And very excellent food and Ale!

The quality has gone down since we went a few years ago. It was so good last time that we went back and were sadly disappointed. The prices have been jacked up, the quality and taste of the food has gone down, it was so dark everyone was pulling out their phone flashlights to see anything and the staff was cranky and less informative than in the past. I'm sure some of this is due to Covid, but not all of it. The three of us felt cheated out of 150 bucks.

What can I say about this tavern. A true reconstruction of what it would be like during the revolutionary war. From the servers to the furniture. The food was amazing, our server was giving great detail about the foods we were getting. The tavern is strictly candlelight only, makes a nice romantic scenery. The servers were full of knowledge about food and the history of the tavern. The food is pricey but well work the price!!
