Been going to this place for years, but the last year it seems to have gone downhill so fast. The chips always taste and feel like they've been warmed up. Used to be the best, NOT ANYMORE.

Hands down the best chippy in Portsmouth. Fish is always lightly battered and fresh. Chips always crispy.
I have been going to the kingfisher since I was very young. I decided to go the other day for the first time in a while. We placed our order for a family of 4 and when we got home half of the order was missing. We went back and asked for the food to be replaced as their mistake meant that 2 of my family members had no food and the other 2 did, so we could not eat together as a family. They refused to replace the order but would give our money back. I can't understand why they were willing to give us a refund, which would be a bigger expense to them, rather than cook us new food? It was insulting. They eventually gave us fresh food after a shouting argument. The food was average, majority microwaved, and the fish was the size of a giant fishfinger. Will not be returning.
Actually literally genuinely the best chippy on Albert Road. If anyone else tells you otherwise then they have been paid off or they are just wrong which is perfectly fine. I am told there is a secret seating area out back but to this day have not been bold enough to ask. Oh and the food is obviously top grub.
First time ordered from here with just eat lovely food and fast service.
