Excellent chips, hearty bread bap and banging big banger. On a miserable flood scuppered journey home the lights of this little chippy drew me in, glad they did, lovely food, great staff and owners. Will be back.

So we arrived at Pitch and Canvas. Pitched our tent then the heavens opened to a massive storm and thunder and lightning. My daughter ordered the fish and chips online and I got sent through the dramatic storm to collect it. The guys in the shop were great. Friendly and accommodating. I could see from the portion sizes we had over ordered but that's a good problem to have when camping (anyone discovered the tasty treat an omelette with yesterdays chips in is?). Back into the wild weather and into the tent with expectant family. And they were not disappointed. We were all agreed these were the best fish and chips we ever tasted, this is no exaggeration. The chips were absolutely delicious. The fish melt in the mouth. And then the mac and cheese bites they were awesome. And for me the curry sauce I like on fish and chips was such a good sauce. All made the more special as the lightning continued to flash all around the nearby area. Great stuff.
