Thoroughly effective covid measures in place. Amazing Christmas decorations as usual, great staff and fab food. So sad that they, like so many restaurants at the moment, haven't got the volume of customers that they deserve.

We went to the Plough for a meal it was amazing food, service of staff was 2nd to none ....3 courses for 10 Monday to Saturday and in August Monday to Wednesday is half price. My Calypso coffee was the best ever and the young lady who made it was delightful indeed all the staff made us feel special. Well done all at the Plough for your wonderful service

I had been previously and was very happy with both the service and food but today's visit for my mum's birthday was dreadful. The service was extremely slow and we had steaks that were all overcooked and dry. We sent one steak back as it supposed to be medium rare but was actually well done and struggled to eat the other two as they were so dry and would have been impossible to eat without the sauce. We decided to leave without having desert as mum was so upset. We weren't the only table who waited a long time for drinks and food orders to be taken. On arrival there is only one disabled space and all the spaces close to the door were taken so we had to drop mum off and go and park the car and leave her to wait for us.

Meals have always been good here. But last time it was okay. Food wasn't as hot as it should be hence the 3 stars.
