Inside the the shop is A1, the main problem is the disgusting outside area. The shops bin area is an eyesore, carpark is like a tip, is the shop manager ashamed or doesn't he or she care. Keep your company area clean.

Matalan always good for a good quality clothing range reasonably priced. Quite a big store so usually a good choice available. Especially like children's wear section where there are sometimes 3 for 2 offers which means extremely good value. Staff usually friendly. Store clean and tidy even during the Sale times. Good store.

Visited in the evening last week, hadn’t been in for a few months due to a previous bad experience but all has changed. A young lad called Ryan was a massive help, his product knowledge was amazing and made my shopping experience very good and enjoyable, he seemed the only upbeat one there! He was helping the other people on tills at the same time yet remained customer focused, and was able to phone other stores to help me get my dress that wasn’t in stock, I have a feeling others would just say we don’t have it in stock and that was it. Just wanted to say a big thank you to Ryans, will definitely be back again.

Think they need observe shop floor and customers more, maybe ask customers if they're OK in finding what they want etc.. customer service. Make the shop as a whole more lively. Most staff are young and don't look like they enjoy their job. Also security and stock check, when me and my family visited a man ran past us, as we was leaving, with a basket full of stock. No one seemed bothered. Shame really as this store has potential.
