Brilliant woodland trails. Free maps to follow your chosen route and routes were very well sign posted. Cafe at the end of walk was brilliant got a hit chocolate with cream and marshmallows

I bet this walk is amazing on fine days. As you can see, it was far from that when I visited. However I will return and try again another day. On the plus side it has a cafe serving hot food and drink and better still it has toilets that are immaculate. The trails are well signposted and paths well kept and easy to walk on.

This place is fantastic! The walks are well signed and you have a clear map of all the trail options before you go and choose one that’s best for you. You can choose between and hour up to three hours long walks. We followed the red one, and it was perfect. It’s or too hard to climb, but you still end up having a beautiful view up there. The woods are lovely, there is a stream and it was clean and not crowded. There are toilets available, and a cafe nearby. The parking is not too expensive as some may have commented below, nothing to complaint about. It’s one of the best hiking paths we have followed. If we ever have friends, we will bring them here :)

It's a nice couple of hours walking and there are lots of different paths to take. Certain parts are quite steep, but nothing too extreme. Certainly will go there again.

Great walk with beautiful views over Keswick and beyond to the east, south and west and to the Solway Firth and Scotland (very clearly visible) to the north when you get to the summit. It's not a difficult walk whatsoever and there are a couple of ways to the summit. We went up one way and came down the other, like a circular walk. There are also two or three other walks starting off at the Dodd Summit car park area. Was my second time in just under a year and would do again and highly recommend to anyone thinking about it. It's 1612ft above sea level and there are a couple of steep bits, but all well marked out pathways, no scrambling.
