Very well organized museum. The space is very nice. Unexpected for a small city like Kerkrade. I’m deducting 1 star for lack of English translations in 75% of the exhibits. And no one offered recorded audio so the content was lost on me. But overall I had a great time. The new exhibit on Death is very well done. Just wish I understood more. Staff was 5 stars. Parking was confusing. You actually park at the train station park and ride. Well at least I did after circling the museum a few times. Worth a visit.

The exhibit was amazing. Displayed different ways to practice sustainability. Loved the interaction between the app and the different pieces being displayed. Definitely worth the entrance fee! There is even a special price for students.

#17KerkardeCentrum. I can't recommend this design museum enough. It was the perfect space, the perfect size for a few hours spare. It's right beside the train station so super accessable and the staff are very friendly. Lockers available to store all your bags. If your curious to smell the scent of a long extinct flower, see an artist documenting weather on textiles, the versitility of silk and seaweed, walk in a virtual garden then come here for an afternoon. Besides the Nature exhibition the permanent exhibition looks at what is design, what makes a good design, and examples of great failures. #railthetrails

Precious small museum that creates a pleasant contemplative atmosphere to consider and enjoy various pieces of excellent design, some new discoveries, some well-known. I doubt anyone leaves this museum without being surprised and stimulated or at least comforted (that beauty exists and can be part of our life). Nice surprise also the ground-floor where a few design-students work on their studies but also are ready for interaction or conversation. Kerkrade, you can be proud of this fine museum.

Very well structured exhibition about design. The combination with the Maslow pyramid was very well thought about. Recommend it

This museum does not offet a systematic overview of design, styles, schools, etc. It seems like a random collection of items.
