Helped me get my level 2 in English and Maths. My friend studied with me, we are both dyslexic so did find the work difficult at times but the tutors were very patient and helpful. No complaints at all. It made me much more confident about studying, especially after going straight into work after finishing school! I'm planning on signing up for another course soon.

My friend applied to this centre to achieve a “C” in her maths. She was told to “prove” herself to be worthy so she could stay on the course. Attended every lesson and worked hard. Once she told her teacher she has a disability, the teacher said “it’s not in my pay bracket to deal with it” and knocked her confidence and got chucked off the course for NO REASON.
Had to withdraw from a course due to the deteriorating health of a close family member. Said family member was in hospital and their health was declining rapidly. It was unlikely that they would come out of hospital. I couldn't guarantee being in class so I contacted the adult education centre, asked to either be credited so that I could do a later course or a refund. I received a phone call saying that they couldn't do this because (and I quote) 'it's all about the money'. They did say that they sympathised but at the end of the day it was about the money. I can honestly say that I will never sign up for a course with this organisation again. It's not so much about the money, more about the attitude...
