I attended a course here today on learning how to use a sewing machine. I had a fabulous day. Came away having made 2 things - a fabric box and a cushion cover. Never thought in a million years I'd ever make something like that. Was absolutely thrilled and it was so worth the journey from Cheshire. Thanks Jane for your patience and to John for your encouragement. Mum and I can't wait to come back in the new year.

Spent a lovely time with the owner picking lots and lots of amazing fabrics and books up. Nothing was any trouble, despite being in wheelchairs no effort spared to make sure we could see and examine everything. Been popping into this shop for years and always have a fantastic time with really beautiful quality fabrics at good prices. Looking forward to popping in again asap!!

The owners are wonderful and are very helpful. Wished I lived closer so I could visit all the time but love their website which I can order from. The fabrics are very high quality! Would recommend them to anyone visiting Cumbria!
