Ken Smith’s team we’re working on the flat garage roof next door to us while our car was parked on our driveway. After we quickly moved it away from the work we noticed three large scratches and mud deposits diagonally down the door which had been next to the neighbours driveway, and noticed roofing debris on our driveway corresponding to the position of the scratches. After mentioning it to our neighbour we were assured that Ken Smith would call around to discuss the issue, we had to wait till next morning when we actually had to contact him. He denied that it had anything to do with his team and accused my husband of trying to pull a ‘ fast one‘ and became increasingly aggressive! Therefore we have no choice but to foot the bill ourselves, is this not what these firms have insurance for?
Ken and his staff were very efficient. Ken gave me a date for a new roof on my bathroom. He kept more staff working on my roof because of the weather and finished hours before he had estimated. The price he quoted was the price I paid. Very satisfied with the service and quality of work. He sent me before and after photos of the roof so I could see the work done.
Poor standard of workmanship, garden and yard left full of debris, owner not interested in resolving problem or keeping any form of contact with house owner. Having to employ another roofer to sort it out. The work they did certainly did not match what was advertised on his website. I can supply full pictures of the re-pointing and mess they left, I would not use.
