Nice view, but the plumbing does not work. If you flush the toilet downstairs, you have to be quick to move your feet out the way of the water that comes out onto the floor!

Poor Plumbing. When we arrived, the downstairs toilet did not flush properly and was leaking. Also, the cold water tap in the only bathroom did not work. The plumbing in the old cottage is not good. However, the main reason for 1 Star is that after we left, the owner wrote to us with a very message to complain we didn't empty a few ashes from the fireplace (apparently there was a notice somewhere in the kitchen telling us to do this?!) and we did not let her know about the problems wiht the cottage. She made no apology at all for these problems. When we left the cottage, my mum spent several hours cleaning, which we had no obligation to do, as a very substantial cleaning fee was already included in our Airbnb booking. Having done all this, and not complained or made a fuss about the poor plumbing, it was very sad to receive such a nasty message from the owner afterwards.
Beautiful cottage, excellent owners, stunning views... There's a reason we've been coming back year after year.
