Cerro Gordo is such an amazing place. Brent and Johnny are great caretakers and the passion they have in bringing this town back to life is very admirable. Please be kind and call the number before heading up the hill as they have to be mindful of how many people are visiting at once. Services are very limited so bring refreshments and if you need a restroom its an outhouse. They aren't exactly ready for visitors yet but are working very hard to make it so by summer. Gift shop is well stocked and donations are very welcomed. Take many pictures and enjoy!

History dork myself with summers off, might have to take a drive down and offer to help out, been hooked on Ghost Town Living ever since coming across it randomly on YouTube. Given that my truck's a bit heavy and isn't a 4x4, maybe I'll rent something instead and donate some supplies during a visit
Fascinating if you’re into western US mining history.
Love your YouTube channel, plus the "exploring with Josh" video of your town.
Nice four wheel drive trip... town is small but the scenery and geology is worth the trip
Beautiful views from here. Can't wait to see it again. People here where so friendly.
A delightful day trip up to the top of the mountain. Lots of history and wonderful things to see
Cerro Gordo is a ghost town owned by a Brent Underwood. Cerro Gordo used to be a really big mine which delivered most of it's findings to L.A. If you are interested the owner has a youtube channel called Ghost Town Living.
