I’ve stayed at the guest rayan for the last four trips to Colombo. It’s clean, quiet, and is an extremely high value for the price. The taxi from the airport is less than 10 minutes so it’s always been a relief to get off an international flight and know that I will be quickly able to relax and sleep. The owner is very friendly and helpful. If you want a convenient and comfortable night’s rest before you start your traveling, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Stopped for a night and the place is fine for two people. There are number of rooms available. Parking and service is available at location.

Very poor..waste of money at all.. we booked a room for 27 USD but they charged 31 USD when we arrived.. WiFi is very low.we can only use WhatsApp only. also WiFi is working 1 hour only. afterthat that is automatically gone off.we use laundry service.they asked 250 lkr per 1kg. Then after they wash our cloths they charged 600 lkr for that..really money minded management .that manager also not good in interacting with guest.. they closed the gate before 9.30.we cannot go out at night.we have to call them and ask to open. Important thing is we cannot get transport there.taxis and pick me also don't know how to get there.we have to walk for 10 minutes to get the main road. Recommended not to go there..otherwise you have to spend the double amount from what you expected..
Its a nice and clean place to for kind of homestay. It is near to Colombo airport. Owner is a good man and food onboard is home made and nice.. There is nothing much around the property but can use Tuktuk to reach to desired spot...
My friend from spain came to sri lanka. He booked this place to stay for 2 days. The guy whose run this place is nice for us. Room was okey. But small for the price we paid. Once we checked out we had few hours left for the flight. So we were in lobby (Actually it's a living area). We already informed them about when we are leaving. But they wanted us to checked out early. 12 O' clock at noon we checked out. But our flight was at 21.10. This guy owns the place told us that we can keep our bags in the lobby. So we were in there for one hour and using the wifi. and this guy even put the fan. he was nice. I told him that we are going out. There was a lady, she just came to the lobby after that guy left and turn off the fan first. And then she turn off the WIFI. So we went out and came back. And this guy was not there. We came back at 16.00. So few hours more to go. There was another lady, while we were there on the lobby. she came back and turned off the WiFi and the fan again. And she was telling me that there are some standards in this hotel. After check out we cannot use the WiFi or anything. And she was telling me that she traveled around the world. She couldn't even answer the things that i asked from her. Clearly this lady never been out of this place. She doesn't even know what kind of standards there in hotels. As a sri lankan I am really ashamed of this people who runs places like this and people like you who booked this places for cheap. FYI: If you want a worst service and you wanna waste your money choose this place. This is just a house, not a hotel.
Warning - this review contains spoilers........... Sadly I can NOT recommend this hotel. I was the ONLY customer in the whole of the guest house and was put in a room with most of the bathroom items broken/working poorly: sink and plug, towel rail, shower-head, erratic hot/cold water. The manager and assistant (whose English is poor) couldn’t grasp the idea of checking a room is ready BEFORE the customer arrives. Before leaving, I tried to have a rational conversation with both of them but they simply got angry and wanted their money: 3,800LKR per night excluding food. When I agreed to pay the final bill, the assistant claimed to have no change - a usual trick that 3 wheeler drivers play on tourists. He threatened calling the police when I returned the compliment. A sad end and an excellent way for customers to never, ever, return. The room itself was actually ok and the AC works, but it had a "universal controller" so the only function that work are: on and off. Their approach to customer service is: don't fix anything until the customer tells you they are broken. I tried nicely to get into their heads that this isn’t good enough. When I visited the hotel a few days before, to check the rooms, it was claimed that the bathrooms were 5 star hotel standard - lol! Try one of the several OTHER guests houses on the same road.
