Best chip shop in town. Very nice food

Ignore the other reviews I've done for fish & chips. Simply glorious. And it was too tasty to even consider stopping and taking a photo. Really great.
Sadly not the best food experience as when we got the food home the fish was not properly cooked enough. But the service in the shop was excellent and well organised in our new Covid world. We visited in August on a lunch time so no excuse really for the poor quality but no time to take the food back.
Katie's was always overshadowed by 149 but it's not the case anymore, chips are nice and clean, fish is well cooked and crispy batter. Keep it going, hard work does pay dividends.
We had a really friendly waiter. The portion sizes were great (I could choose a smaller option with additional tea, bread and ice-cream). Fish was cooked so that it was moist and flakey with just the right amount of batter and chips tasted like they had potato in them! Cafe is small but popular.
