Karen is superb at her job. She provides a level of care and attention to your treatment that goes above and beyond other acupuncturists. After my treatment with her I felt I had more energy and focus in my life. I would really recommend her.
I first started attending Karen following a year of trying to conceive with no success. Initially I was quite happy with the treatment and felt relaxed after each session. She got me to chart my basal body temperature each morning and pointed out that it was too low for conception to occur. She advised me to take Chinese herbs which would help to raise my temperature. The herbs didn't make any difference. I continued attending for treatment, but after a few weeks I felt she had lost interest in me. She spent quite a lot of time on her phone dealing with personal issues and would leave me lying on the bed with two needles stuck in my feet. I know this is what accupuncture involves, but I would expect better treatment for 105 euro for forty minutes. I gave up after six months as I felt she wasn't able to help me. I decided to attend a fertility specialist in the Beacon and after a simple blood test he told me my progesterone was too low. I tried different doses of medication to regulate hormones. Also, he recommended a tablespoon of coconut oil three times daily to raise my temperature and it worked! Three months later, when my hormone levels were normal, I discovered I was pregnant!! I wish I had attended a professional sooner as I feel I wasted a lot of time.
I can't recommend 5 Element Acupuncture with Karen Costin enough! I have been availing of her services for various reasons but, mainly for my energy levels which have definitely improved. It is early days yet but I and everyone who knows me can already see vast improvements. After my first session I felt a complete shift in my energy and at every appointment she has put me at great ease - 5 Element Acupuncture has many benefits for me personally!
When I first met Karen I was very low emotionally and physically. Karen's approach was very humanistic. She was empathic and patience while I shared my symptoms and overall situation. She also asked questions to get a better understanding of me as a whole and not just labelled me with the physical symptoms or medical term of my condition. The main issue that I struggle with is \Endometriosis\ which affects me in different ways as - Pain and discomfort in my pelvic area, imbalanced hormones, irregular periods, digestion issues, nausea, dizziness, fatigue and anxiety. After a few sessions with Karen I felt much better, my pain lessened, my periods became more regular, my digestion improved and I felt stronger, energised, hopeful and uplifted emotionally too. I truly believe that Karen is a very talented and gifted practitioner and healer. I thank her with all my heart for all her help, support and care. Shelly, Dublin.
I have attended Karen Costin for the past few years for stress and have always felt wonderfull after the treatment . For the past few treatments Karen has being working on a blockage which blocked the energy from flowing through me and as a result I had detached my head from my body. Karen was unbelievable and kept working with me to unblock this point and after a 2 hour session she finally got through and it felt unbelievable. My whole body came alive with energy and my head feels so much lighter and now I feel way more present in myself. I highly recommend the fertility treatment. I have been trying for a baby for the past six years with my husband since we've been married. I visited various hospitals and had various tests taken but I was no closer to getting answers or getting pregnant. I had to try something alternative a friend recommended karen as she got pregnant previously using karens method. I couldn't believe it happened so quickly for me if I had of known years ago I would have tried it sooner. I got pregnant on my second treatment. I've never been happier I am 29 weeks pregnant and feeling great. I honestly believe I wouldn't have gotten pregnant without the help from karen. I've since recommended her to other people and I know they won't be disappointed.
