Dad was stationed nearby at Lowther AFB during Cold War. Great to see the train station where he disembarked as a young U.S. Airman. The museum is very well organized and educational. Plus, the staff is exceptional in their knowledge of the area. Hope that one day, there will at least be a highway marker where the base(radar site) once stood to honor both U.S. and Canadians who helped to protect our continent during that dark period.

Housed in two railway coaches complete with an old fashioned steam locomotive. Gives a good insight into the history of the Town of Kapuskasing and also of the railway. There's a fascinating large model railway which operates at the touch of a button. You have to go right to the end of the second coach to find it though.
I was here 2 yrs ago, seen some new things added. Glad we stopped
Had a very enjoyable and interesting visit to the Ron Motel Memorial Museum today. Staff were very knowledgeable and really enhanced the experience. The sculptures were something I'd never seen before and left me amazed. The static displays were really interesting. The mini railway display was allot of fun to watch. Great job to those involved with its construction. I would highly recommend a visit for those of any age.
Cool museum in an old CN train. The employees were knowledgeable and friendly
Interesting museum on the history of the Kapuskasing area. Loved especially the railroad cars and the train set. The staff was really helpful providing me with local maps and info. Did not realize there were WW One internment camps in Canada...learned about this from visit
An adorable museum. If you happen to drive by Kapuskasing, take a few moments to stop by the train station museum. Although it is not accessible to wheelchairs, it is very interesting. Depictions of life in the early 20th century and pictures give you a good idea of life back then. The second caboose has a huge display of model trains that staff will explain in detail. There are also beautiful little figurines and scenes in clay that show the life progression of the "olden days". The museum is funded by donations. There is also 5 pokestops.
Great history. Enjoyed.
