Just met with Doctor Borkon and his nurse Tammy. Being young and having to be in thier office was nerve wracking. He took the time to answer all my and my husbands questions. I felt validated with my concerns. As always, I get good care with St. Luke's. I feel confident he will be able to handle my case with ease.

Dr. Allen and his team did a fantastic job on replacing my mitral valve and doing the bypasses. I'm very thankful.

Dr. Allen did an awesome job repairing my mitral valve. Feel 10 yrs younger now. I am 6 weeks post op and all my interactions with this group have been enjoyable. So thankful to them for giving me my health back. Had my surgery at NKC and they just as amazing.

My name is Vicki J. so far my experience with Mid America Heart and Lung, St. Luke's has been pleasant. The staff is friendly, the physician assistants are knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had.

Not a good place!!! Dr Borkon assistant Tammy has a horrible attitude! When asked to schedule my surgery...she was fine. When it came time for her to schedule my pre op she threw her ink pen it got ugly. Not a good vibe when you getting ready to get your chest cracked open. I got my got up and walked out!!! Granted the Charlottesville incident around 8/14/17 and my appointment on 8/25/17 when Dr. Borkon entered the room initially he gave me the look as if I was not supposed to be in his office. I did not like his bedside manner from the get go! So when I asked Tammy to schedule my pre op since I was in the office is when she displayed the unprofessional behavior by throwing the ink pen across the room. All because a person of color asked to schedule my pre op appointment while I was there in the office. I believe this incident had a LOT to do with the color of my skin!!! RACISM has no place in the medical field!!! Tammy was not disciplined and kept her job!!! Trust me if I had done the same thing to a patient I would have been FIRED!!!! I wish there was a -3 rating. 1 star is not good enough!!!
