I drove from Oregon and started getting a tooth ache on the way. Before I even arrived in Kansas City I called the VA dental clinic and had an appointment as soon as I arrived. I was also set up with a Primary Care for the following week. The dental clinic got me on antibiotics and had me scheduled two days later to have my tooth problem resolved. I also have been set up to get all my dental work done and a plan to get partials so I can have a full set of teeth to eat with and a better smile for my confidence! I have been retired for 12 years and have to say it’s been the best treatment I have ever received from the VA health system! The providers are very empathetic and polite and the facilities seem to be very clean, organized and easy to maneuver. I’m glad I have the Kansas City VA medical center as an option to get care! Questionable care and the Pharmacy has sent an incorrect prescription twice. Nurses do not admit to mistakes and they change their stories each time you talk to them.
Best nurses i have ever had they love their job took great care of me in all 4 shifts as I have cancer made sure I had everything I needed
Takes forever to get an appointment, nurses won’t listen to you, doctors won’t listen to you. There’s absolutely no point in bothering to speak with a medical professional here at all. Facility looks fine though.
