Very authentic Japanese restaurant. The weekend lunch menu is really nice. Friendly master and staffs. 1000 yen you can enjoy a nice set lunch. A little bit difficult to find entrance through. (The main entrance is actually on 2nd floor)

We were there a couple weeks ago and it was quite nice. Great service, great food, and attention to detail. Two apprentices and the proprietor -- couldn't have asked for better treatment
Delicious shrimp tempura with veggie tempura as well. Menu all in Japanese but no problem just ask for the shrimp!
Proper Japanese izakaya. We used a lot of sign language but all the staff were unbelievably friendly. Shrimp tempura is a must!
Nearly a week in Japan and this was the best food! Lovely little place with friendly host and chefs. Don't mix: there are two restaurants in the house and this one is on the 2nd floor if you approach from the river side.
