Overcrowded, not a single cafe or shop is accessible, everybody smokes everywhere, children run, bike and scream everywhere. On top of that they organize what is supposed to be cultural events in the summer which is people playing horribly and very loudly traditional music while other people dance. Once they tried to organize an astronomy event with telescopes and they brought strong lights, people who sell corn and pop-corn and hand made jewelry. You couldn't hear anything because children were playing around, there was music from the cafes and adults buying stuff so the astronomers only showed the moon with one of the telescopes and left... if you want to see the villagers of kalamaria having fun all together, and maybe the moon if you are lucky, then this is the best place to visit in the summer!

Walk, shop, eat, drink, relax - all in one. It's a beautiful walking area, big and wide pavement for pedestrians, always full of life with people, children, pets, events at main square, music, good food and cosy coffee and sweet shops. Nice in any season
