Kala Thai state they are authentic Thai but unfortunately they are far from it. We had the lunch menu which was limited in choice which would have hopefully meant that they could focus on quality. However the Tom Yum was inedible due to its extreme sourness. Both of us took a few spoonfuls and stopped eating. This was followed by chicken pad Thai. Too much sauce was mixed in with the noodles and the peanuts we’re congealed. Don’t know if their drinks are better as didn’t order. Hope so. Not recommend for eating.

Service was great, plenty of staff and the food was rapid and no waiting. The atmosphere is great. It's well decorated and looks stunning. The food was tasty and no one had a bad meal. Only negatives is that is quite expensive and you don't get as much as your expect at the price point. However I recommend it
An incredible new Thai restaurant located within Horsehoe Common, Bournemouth Town Centre. We ventured down following great recommendations from friends and we were glad that we did. Great atmosphere, impeccable customer service, fresh and tasty dishes and a cocktail menu to die for, Kala Thai is one of the most enjoyable experiences we have had since the easing of COVID restrictions. I cannot recommend Kala Thai highly enough. We will definitely be visiting again.
Managed to get in on a busy Saturday night and had the best time! Everything was great from the food to the service. Can’t wait to come back here!
