The Florida campus of Scripps Research is an incredible place, where hundreds of scientists, graduate students and interns push the boundaries of human knowledge to advance cures for unmet medical needs. They have tremendous basic science and also cutting-edge drug-discovery infrastructure that enables major advances in areas such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and infectious diseases including Zika virus. They are home to several coronavirus experts, and so they're doing a tremendous amount of research on COVID-19 since the pandemic started.
