Always a good place for a decent pint of ale. Nice garden to use during these times of covid.
I arrived on a Friday lunchtime. Felt it was a place for locals. I don't think I'll go there again. I have seen other positive reviews, so maybe it is better in the evenings. I am simply relating my experience. The barman did not make me feel welcome. Rather transactional.
Very quiet pub. Not much offer. Mostly old people drinking beer. Bit disappointing
One star because zero is not available. for many years a great community pub now to be avoided like the plague. Surly and thoroughly unpleasant licensee sold me a pint of vinegar and tried very hard to refuse to change it, after some argument replaced it with a different undrinkable beer which got left on the bar. Avoid until the present manager has been sacked, if she hasn't single handledly closed the pub down herself.
