My time at JR's has been comparable to that of a king's in his castle, even a Karen in her 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Obviously, the service, atmosphere (notably the music volume and lighting) and comfortable seating is above and beyond. But the real shining star--a perfect way to cap 2020--is the new menu item: the meatball. 10/10 would eat your meat again. John! You're the man! And the best server ever.

Be ready to pay 8 for a bottle of PBR... the biggest BS I have ever seen at any bar EVER... the prices you pay don’t even match up with the prices on the menu. The bartender just charges you with whatever is most expensive, and that’s what you pay. I really want to like this place for the good vibes, (generally) good service, and good covid protocols, but 8 for a PBR (literally one of the CHEAPEST beers in existence) is complete bofoonery. Couldn’t help but think the bartending staff was trying to F me over and didn’t care. I know how to do basic math dude, I’m not a moron. Your money is best spend elsewhere.

There are Gay institutions in every cosmopolitan city and Jr’s would be it for Dallas. Always open, always fun, and always a good cocktail. I’m a main bar person, because I love the bar staff, but I encourage walking around. Great place to meet people visiting and the locals.

Some of the employees are a little gruff or abrasive about the COVID rules, but I appreciate most of the friendly staff especially JACOB!! Aside from that, the food selections are reasonable and structured along with the drink specials...I love the friendly, uplifting, fun, and open-minded patrons and it's fun to jam to the jukebox music or mingle onto the patio where you can rip that damn mask off! I will be a regular here for now on!!

Came in and had to hit dogs food was great but service sucked and tried numerous times to get a bartenders attention ... I guess that I didnt order alcohol im less to them I dont know ... No one came to ask how was the food and no one refilled my drink ... Great people great bar bad service didnt fill welcomed was ignored by bartenders the last 30 mins... Doubt I'll be back.
