Super yummy upscale diner food. I had a special which was Corn Flake-encrusted French Toast with organic strawberries. It was delicious and I will definitely be back for the Eggs Benedict.

We visited Joyce's Coffee Shop on January 30th, after some of the Covid restrictions on restaurants were once again lifted. I wanted to try a local family-owned cafe that I'd never been to. We were very pleasantly surprised with Joyce's! We arrived to a comfortable patio atmosphere for a late breakfast, and I was pleased to see that Covid precautions were being closely adhered to. The serving staff was polite and knowledgeable even despite how busy they were with almost all of their patio tables full, and several parties waiting for take-out orders. My partner and I ordered coffee and the Eggs Benedict. Surprisingly, the brewed coffee was quite good and new cup-fulls were brought to us regularly. The breakfast entrees were served without an unusual wait and piping hot. I asked that my hash browns be extra crispy, and that turkey sausage be substituted for the pork sausage. Both requests were accommodated. Our eggs broke open easily, spilling the yellow goodness all over the plate, and the star of the show, the hollandaise sauce, was exceptional. The taste was well-balanced, and despite the typical heaviness of this mother sauce, Joyce's hollandaise was unusually light. Delightful! Before we left, the server offered us pie. Pie for breakfast?? Why not! It seems that Joyce's pies are homemade each day by the owner herself, and we were offered a choice of 4 or 5 different options. I ordered the blueberry pie, while my partner ordered the mixed berry pie. As full as we were at that point, however, we decided to just take the pies home and have them after dinner. If you visit Joyce's - don't skip the pie! The crusts were light and flaky and not overburdened with sugar. Rather, the baker decided to allow the fruit to speak for itself (which is exactly how it should be, in my opinion!) Joyce's is a highly recommended breakfast/lunch cafe in the Northridge area. We will definitely be returning for another home cooked brunch, and that amazing pie!
Joyce's is a local coffee shop in Reseda, their prices are very reasonable was there for breakfast with my mom who is a regular. They make excellent home made pies.

One of the Best hole in the wall diners! If you want that good home cooked meal then this is the place for you. Amazing friendly staff!
