Chris especially and his office were all highly professional and I felt their communication and advice was really good and helped the process run smoothly!

Upon a recommendation from another business we used Jowetts’ surveyors to carry out a home buyers report. We were informed that feedback would be provided within a couple of hours upon completion and then the report would follow a few days after. We needed the feedback to instruct solicitors as to whether contracts could be exchanged or not. We received zero feedback on the day and after chasing the surveyor up and sending a couple of messages and leaving voicemails we received the reply of “I need to collect my thoughts, you will receive the report before the weekend”. Immediately we contacted the office to report this in that what had been sold to us would not be given. We then had to wait another two days until the surveyor gave us the feedback which had been promised to us a couple of hours after the survey. The surveyor then said to us if there are any queries regarding the report to contact him and he would be happy to provide us with further detail. Again we hit another blank from the surveyor and a further week later we are still awaiting feedback upon queries which we had on the home buyers report. I would not recommend this company at all for a home buyers report in the case of a complete lack of professionalism and communication

Not enough contact with seller. On several occasions door locked in office and not being able to talk to anyone. Phone calls promised back and didn't ring - lack of customer service and confidence lost with them

Sellers beware! Called at 9:15 this morning to arrange a viewing on a property that went on the market 5 days ago. I was advised by the part time receptionist that she was not sure if the property was still available as they have had a couple of offers on it and was not sure if a sale had been agreed. She assured me that when someone else came in the office they would call me back. Having heard nothing by 11am I called again, she told me no one else was in the office but that someone would be in by 1pm. At 1:15pm I had my partner call. The same lady answered, scheduled a viewing for him and advised the property would be going to best and final bids. At 4:50pm I got a phone call from the owner of the company who was finally calling me back and who told me they are not doing any viewings but just going to go back and forth with the two current offers as they were cash (spoiler alert - so was I). So after he told me he wouldn't scheduling in a viewing I told him to cancel the viewing that was already booked in for my partner, to which he told me it was booked in by mistake and that his next call was to call him to cancel. So whilst I'm not sure whats going on there, what I am sure about is that as a seller you do not have an estate agent turning away potential all cash buyers within less than a week going on the market, especially when a sale with the current offers had not been agreed. To me it just seems lazy or shady, either way, to return a phone call from 9:15am at 4:55pm and to have such a poor response to trying to schedule a viewing I would be concerned as a vendor. Then again, thats just my experience - to each their own I guess.
