Have always used this chip shop with no issues, until yesterday. Sadly, this is another place that has succumbed to not being fully educated around laws and the difference from guidance. I am exempt from wearing a mask. Thought the chip shop stated on their door it is mandatory to wear a face covering, they did not include the disclaimer around exemptions. I was questioned and once I stated I was exempt, the matter should have been dropped there. I was asked to provide evidence of my exemption - it clearly states on the Gov website that you do not have to provide any such evidence,.nor disclose your medical exemption. Under the Equality Act 2010, this is a breach and can carry 9,000 fine. I felt violated as the reason I cannot cover my face is complex and traumatizing. Where has the compassion gone? I understand businesses are doing what they think is right, but still should know how to implement things. You've lost a customer.

I got a large portion of chips and 2 pieces of medium cod and 2 curry sauces the chips wasn't even enough for one person and cold too also the 2 medium codd was no bigger than the palm of my hand curry sauce was nice though altogether 12.50 not worth the money at all
Used it for years now , the owner is a gentleman and the food is excellent .. Shop is very clean good hygiene
Best chips in Wymondham by far. Properly cooked, not like the two in town which are rubbish. Polite and friendly service.
