Denali Clinic: Finally far enough removed from the situation to give a clear headed review. Difficult to get in. Self referred myself for help during a tough time. They forgot about me, ignored my preferences in a therapist, could not be contacted again, and I needed to repeatedly contact them again and again over the course of two months to try to receive help. This is the reason soldiers like myself, and others far worse, are having issues. If army command has an initiative to tackle mental and behavioral health head on; it should show at the soldier level. Be resilient, even though it’s tough. Eventually they’ll throw pharmaceuticals at you. As a medical professional myself (paramedic) I can tell you that continuity of care is crucial. There was none. If you want to be treated as a person, not just a soldier, you may need to venture elsewhere.

If you have a serious problem and need help, you might get seen once a month. While you are opening up and trying to get help they will keep looking at their watch and not really listening. They really don't care what you say, I went in to my once a month an said the same stuff I did the previous month and they had no idea what you talked about. Also you may get transferred to a new person, over and over again so you will have to start for the beginning and never really get the help you need. This place is only here to make people in higher ranks feel like something is getting done, there is no follow through and nobody really cares. They just want to get paid and move up in rank.....

Staff seems friendly enough but I’m still unsure about this place. I’m usually a little hesitant when it comes to seeing civilians who are prior military, tend to be somewhat indoctrinated and still think they are serving in the military. It might be me and a little unfair to feel this way considering I have seen and talked with some very excellent physicians. But I guess it’s the bad ones that ruin it for the rest. I would say that I have heard more good than bad, but the bad just seems to be over the top. It might deserve 3 stars but I will save that for later. I would recommend judging it by your own experience, hopefully it will vary.
