Lowcountry Aviation Association is rated 5 out of 5 in the category airlines/aviation in United States. The LCAA is an IRS-certified non-profit educational charity, dedicated to providing the youth of the lowcountry opportunties to learn about aviation-related professions, participate in aviation events, and scholarships to learn to fly in a safe, professional training environment at the Lowcountry Aviation Academy at Johns Island Airport (KJZI), South Carolina. The LCAA raises funds, provides professional flight training, and formally associates with local collegiate and high school aviation programs to recruit, sponsor and train lowcountry high school and college students for a career in aviation. In addition to flight training, the LCAA sponsors special events (airshows, aviation days), and conducts professional outreach via our Lowcountry Instructional Flight Training (LIFT) program, whereby we travel to area airports to introduce high school students to aviation and provide them free flight instruction by FAA-certified flight instructors, with the goal of inspiring, empowering, and training the next generation of lowcountry pilots.
