I used to live right behind the Blue Goose when John's was on Greenville Avenue. I probably ate there every Saturday and Sunday morning from 1999 to 2001. Always with a hangover. That sausage and cheese omelette - Perfection. There was always 20 people standing by the door and waiting outside after they placed their order waiting for a table. The rule was no food, no table. Some how John was able to look over his shoulder while cooking and monitor the limited seating and put stuff out just in time for you to get a seat. Then he'd yell your number so loud you could hear him outside. Never figured out how he did it. I always stop by the new location when I'm in DFW. The location has changed but everything else is exactly the same. Just a cool place with great diner food. They brag about the burgers, but I've never actually had one.

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Order at the counter and find a seat. We love the pancakes nice and crusty from the griddle yet so soft and fluffy. This time we did chopped steak and chicken fried steak and eggs. Thick hashbrowns perfect extra crispy. Fast and efficient service.
Nice little hole in the wall restaurant. Came to have breakfast. All was cooked perfect. Staff is friendly. Clean atmosphere. I Would highly recommend this restaurant
Love John and his crew! They treat you like family. Fresh ingredients always and the food is warm and delicious!
