Really nice area with beautiful views over the northern islands, nice little ships and tea rooms. Small ferry port and beautiful rentals. Well worth the long drive up there at least once

The John O'Groats signpost is an iconic landmark representing the North Eastern extremity of the Scotland mainland. As such it is a popular tourist attraction with a brewery, cafes, a bistro, souvenir shop, holiday accommodation, ample parking and toilets. There is even a charge point for electric cars and majestic looking hotel. During the summer, regular ferry services run over to the Orkney Isles.

Really nice views over the northern islands with a few small shops full with Scottish memorabilia, a small tea room and close by beautiful small cabins to rent. You can book boat trips and take the small ferry to the islands. Well worth the long drive along the north east coast that is also a great drive.

Well organised, under present restrictions. Only allowed half an hour to have coffee and cake but can understand time limits when tables are reduced and this is a busy location. Food and coffee lovely - cakes and scones are of generous size. Unusual decor, within the premises. Highly recommend

One in the main stone on the North Coast 500. Lots of shops (recommend looking in the shops before making a final purchase as some have the same thing). Lots of places to take pics was a queue for the main sign. Lots of people were following the COVID guidelines.
