I parked in the Horsebridge car park opposite the pub and did a circular walk and stopped in the pub on the way back. I had Trout Linguine with garlic bread, it was delicious and a very good size portion. I liked that there was plenty of outside seating and some of it under cover.

Looks lovely from the outside, welcoming, friendly and handsome. The walk along monarch way takes you a bit away. But the presence of the pub is tangible.
We had a family meal , venison steak chips and veg. Well cooked and reasonable price, nice beer. Social distancing was OK. Service was a bit slow but we were advised that the chef had just taken a number of orders so not surprised. I like this place and will return
Extremely friendly landlord and staff. The best pint of Guinness in the area. Dog Friendly. COVID safe.
