John Gordons - Specialist Spirit Merchant - Wine, Whisky & Gin Bar - Food

I've been a few times for a drink while waiting for others, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. There is a wide choice of drinks, though the staff can help make the choice should the options be too bewildering! The service is friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and it is in a very convenient location. Sitting in the covered courtyard on a hot day to shade from the sun while enjoying a cool drink is rather nice! Definitely a place to recommend.

First time here looking for a really good American Bourbon, I was not disappointed. The business is split into to parts, the shop and the bar. Obviously the bar is not operating right now due to Covid which is a shame as normally you can try the various drinks available to buy from the shop in the bar. The shop itself is small but very nicely decorated and laid out and feels like something from the past in a great way. It has a huge selection of rare, weird and wonderful spirits of varying prices from low to mid range all the way up to really expensive! The man who served me in the shop was an amazing guy, knew a lot about whiskey and all the products in general and we had a great conversation. Ended up finding me a really good, quite rare bourbon which I am highly excited about drinking Christmas day. I will definatley be back here again, this is now my favourite spirit shop in Glouceseshire by a long way! Shops like this are hard to find now a days with the way online shopping has replaced a lot of physical shops. I can only hope they continue to thrive and do business as in my opinion there is something really special about being able to visit a physical shop to touch, taste and talk about the products on offer with someone who is just as passionate about it as the customer.

Dry informative and friendly staff. Was happy to answer any and all questions without being pushy in the slightest.

Always have a lovely coffee and the owner is very friendly, as are all his staff.
