I go with my wife to this lovely spot from time to time! This is my favorite spot to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The food is just great, the workers are helpful and the cost is reasonable. I enjoy eating in this spot for a good meal.

Expensive but was what I was looking for. Get the burnt ends and the cornbread. I very much enjoyed the salad with chicken on it. We ordered chili too. It was nice on a cold day. I'd probably go back if I was in the area. Note the picture of burnt ends, brisket and small chili is the 2 meat platter (19). The other picture is 1 lb burnt ends and large chili. I didn't think the 2 meat platter and salad was enough but then couldn't finish the burnt ends/chili so we took it home. As a friend mentioned to me the cornbread is moist and has real corn in it. Glad I tried it.

The food here is ALWAYS consistent. While their baked beans are definitely not my favorite, their mac n cheese and cornbread are delicious! The brisket is tender and juicy. Also, the spicy bbq sauce is a must

Smoked Wings and Burnt Ends are phenomenal! The wings are only available on weekends but nonetheless excellent

John Brown just might be the best bbq food in all of NYC. There are a few places in Brooklyn I haven't gotten to yet. Their burnt ends are definitely among the best I've ever had, which is what I usually order. Most of the sides are also on point and the cornbread is nice and moist, not dry. The huge backyard is great for outdoor dining and has been a boon during these troubling times. They also have a bar inside with a decent selection of craft beers. It is conveniently located near Queens Plaza.
