We visited for soup dumplings and weren't disappointed, but everything else we ordered was pretty mediocre. Order a load of soup dumplings and maybe a scallion pancake and skip the rest. The menu is huge though, so maybe there are some other gems to discover.

Honestly, this was my favorite part of visiting New York. The soup dumplings were the best thing I had. I can't even describe it. You just have to try it. There usually is a wait. We waited 30 minutes before being seated. The food came out fast. Note that it is cash only. I'm planning to come back here next time I visit.

Didn’t want to go when my cousin talked about it because I’m very specific about my dumplings and I’m not a huge fan of Chinese dumplings. When I actually went there, MAN that vibe was something. The spot is small and crowded but that’s a part of the experience at Joe’s Shanghai. I love the atmosphere there and their dumplings is something else. I had never had dumplings of that style. It was just gooood. Very filling, tasty and juicy. The price was never a problem. Worth every penny you spend!

Delicious & Simple. A great place to stop by for dim sum in NY! Came by on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait a little bit (15 mins) but was definitely worth it :)

Everything was fantastic The soup dumplings are super cheap and delicious. Scallion pancake was doughy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Turnip shortcakes were very tasty.
