Great Hunan cuisine restaurant. Most of the dish are spicy but with an option to go chilli-free. The food is spicy, tasty and irresistible. All served right off the wok. It's a popular place for university students and usually quite full during weekends. Ps. You can get a 10% discount on the final bill for sharing photos of their food on Wechat. (Cash only offer)

Immediately after putting down the menu, the waitress stood next to us, expecting us to order even before we had the chance to open it. When I told her we needed time, she moved merely a few steps away, and started clicking her pen repeatedly as a gesture to rush us to order. After we ordered, she brought a flask and PLONKED it on our table, with no intention to pour tea for us. We tried lifting, it was heavy, so we did not wanna risk spilling hot tea on ourselves. She walked by several times knowing our cups were empty, yet never bothered to pour for us. Eventually I called her to do it. After she did, she "educated" us on how to use the flask. That's when my patience wore thin. I said: you don't pour tea for customers? And she had the cheek to add oil to fire by answering: IF I have time, I will. Well, WE WERE THE ONLY TABLE THERE AND THEN! HOW BC COULD SHE BE??? First time I have heard that a waitress would only serve you IFFFF she has the time. The food was not impressive, and service was HORRIBLE. Would never visit again, EVER.

Love this place whenever I’m craving for spicy Hunan cuisine. Everything is great, location is awesome, near exit b of HKU. Other than that, I would say a little price for a broke student.
Very authentic Hunan cooking. The first of such a level of authenticity I have encountered in HK
A hidden gem! Truthfully, I wanna give it a 3.5 ️ instead of 4 . The food is delicious, better than a lot of places in HK island side. The portion is good, the chili fish costs 198, but it comes with a good(big) portion for HK standard. The restaurant “offers” two small side dishes, please note that each small plate costs 8 each, they are not complementary. It’s a good place to hang out with 3 or 4 friends when your craving for some spicy Chinese food. Overall, a very decent hunan cuisine (spicy Chinese restaurant) in HK with avg service.
Decent Hunan food, I guess. It was tasty and not too oily. Actually, I've never been to Hunan before, I have no idea if it's good, comparatively speaking.
