If you are in Jena, Rocks is THE place to go for climbing and bouldering. Plenty of routes of varying difficulty from beginners to real pros, including an outdoor section if you don't want to climb in a gym when it's sunny. They offer intro sessions and climbing lessons, you can rent gear there and they have a nicely stacked on-site shop with prices sometimes as low as on the Internet. Free showers and a sauna at an additional fee plus a cafeteria with a selection of foods and beverages. What more could you possibly wish for? :)
Just great. Really good if you want to train endurance. And the staff and food are both great. Definitely worth going. The Building is naturally cool, temperature-wise and style-wise. So even on a hot summer day it is enjoyable to climb inside :)
