One of the few places to get somewhat genuine white queso in New York. Salsa is excellent and I've never been disappointed by any dish. I do wish for some draft beers but the margs make up for that.
Javelina's outdoor dining is one of the warmer ones I have experienced - they have a covered 3-sided tent with the sidewalk side open, plexiglass between each table, and heaters for both sides of the table. My table had guacamole, fish tacos, al pastor tacos, and margaritas. Everything was delicious and the service was lovely (they even provided a water dish for my friend's dog ).
My favorite location for delicious texmex. I can say this place does it for me. Service is typically great. This place has a great design. Kinda of like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed.
Javelina is a Tex Mex joint that's got good corn on the cob, tasty chips and salsa, and great nachos. The place is packed on a weekday night, so if you don't have reservations, you may have a bit of a wait. Our waitress was lovely and she was warm, friendly, and quick to come check on us several times during our meal. Really enjoyed it, though the space is a little loud inside.
