Whilst Jam Jar might be pushing away from the bustling Newquay Centre, be sure to pay these guys a visit ! Whilst the coffee wasn’t anything exceptional and the pastries were simply okay. For us, it was the Berry Glow smoothie that made us return twice in a week. Good value for money, good service and a quaint independent shack.

Lovely coffee and the bagel was superb! But the stem ginger cake was the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommended.
Would never usually write a bad review but feel very disappointed about this cafe. Visited here one year ago and had a lovely experience but have found the service very rude this year. Pre ordered some pasties and was snapped at when we arrived 'early' (we were 20 mins late) to pick them up. Tried to visit the cafe again later on that day because we thought the setting was lovely for dinner and were told we could not book a table and could just turn up as it was a fast turnover. Tried to do as asked later on that evening with our 3 year old (hungry) daughter in tow and was told they had no tables and we had to leave our names with the kiosk (I.e. reserve a table!). Then went through another rude customer service fiasco of being told they don't reserve tables... Funnily enough in a holiday cottage opposite and saw free tables later on that evening with no call from the restaurant! Will not be visiting again. Awful experience.
Always really friendly, a sunny atmosphere even when the weather is not so sunny. Very cosy with blankets and welcoming vibe. Lovely ethos and loads of yummy offerings. Always some vegan bakes and savoury options and the array of lattes are amazing with the full range of rude health drinks to replace milk - turmeric latte is a big fave. My daughter, Zoe, ordered a lovely blueberry cake for my 60th. The cake is amazing, baked with love and had little personal touches. Looking forward to visiting jam jar in the future.
