I went to this Jaipur 20 years ago with my wife before we had children. I was back in Freiburg for the first time since then and wanted to see if the restaurant was still there. I walked around with my friend to see if we could locate it. I couldn't remember the name or address so had to go through the various Indian restaurants door to door, trying to locate the Jaipur once again. I knew you had to go up one flight of stairs and the food was amazing, but that's all I could remember. Well, imagine my joy and excitement to find them again and see that the owner was still the same man. Wow. I don't know who was more happy or excited, the owner or me!? :-D He was so happy to see a repeat customer after 20 years that he brought us a wonderful sparkling wine in two flute-glasses. What a wonderful gesture. We both ate the wonderful 'Chicken Tikka Biryani' and just loved loved the taste. In fact it's not fair to say taste. There's more than one taste in that dish, and they make the best. When we were ordering, the waiters came to the table to make sure they got the level of spiciness right for us. They hit the nail on the head and we absolutely loved our meal. I will be back one day and may it not take another 20 years for it to happen. So visit the Jaipur and say hello the wonderful staff from me. :-)

We were really pleased with the food! We ordered traditional dishes which originally contain non-vegan content ( butter, cream..) and they made the effort to make it completely vegan. And they knew difference between vegan and vegetarian! Really delicious! Thank you service team of Jaipur!

It’s unfortunate that there is no disinfection measures in place in covid-19 times. I witnessed the waiters just quickly brushing down the tables, without proper disinfection or change of table cloth before the next customers. I appreciate that it can be busy on Saturday nights. This is still unacceptable during a time when the Covid numbers are increasing. Very irresponsible!!!! Not only was the food not to standard but the owner held the door for the customers coming in but not for them going out. We felt he slammed the door in our face, not appreciating the feedback we gave him on the quality of the food.
