I have visited Jaques twice, the first time at my own expense and the second fortunate to be the guest of a friend. The surroundings are fabulous, a great deal of money has been spent on quality workmanship and fittings. The menu however is disappointing. I have been fortunate to eat out in some equally expensive restaurants and this one has a limited rather ordinary menu. The quality is not exceptional, indeed the Wagu steak I was served had so much fat on it that only about 2/3 of it was edible. A dish which in the restaurant is 50 without the vegetables. The dessert I ordered on my first visit was poor in both presentation and flavour. The cocktails are interesting and beautifully served, and the service on both visits was excellent; attentive without being intrusive. This is an expensive restaurant serving plain food; I feel you are paying for the surroundings and service and the food is overpriced for what is currently on the menu. Equally good food and more interesting dishes can be found for a reasonable price elsewhere but without the opulent surroundings. I haven’t tried the afternoon tea and may do so when the world reopens. The photographs look very attractive and this would likely be a lovely experience.

Have just had a wonderful afternoon tea delivered due to not going out. The quality of the food was exceptional and the presentation superb. Would recommend this to anyone who needs to celebrate but at this time cannot go out.
Ordered the Sunday lunch to , collect absolutely beautiful, Cant wait to restrictions are lifted so we can dine in.

An amazing place with exceptional food, luxurious surroundings and really attentive staff. A truly high class dining experience which we enjoyed emensly.
