Really wish I could award this zero stars but cannot do so and post this review. Horrible experience at this shop. Ordered three rolls and chips for myself and my family. When received chips were quite obviously reheats and had to be thrown in the bin. Price for the privilege 7.50!!! Previous experience which was put down to a \one off\ was an inedible scotch pie - so greasy it had to be thrown in the bin. After the most recent experience my brother telephoned the shop today only to be told by a female employee (believed to be one of the Jaconelli family) that I should have reported the problem there and then. This to a person who has limited mobility...she was rude and belligerent with no offer whatsoever to redress the matter. Is this really a way to deal with customers that have been going to the shop for many years??? Standards have severely slipped. I will be avoiding at all costs in the future and I would advise the residents of Maryhill and surrounding areas to do the same.

Been using for 30 plus years WON'T BE BACK. TONIGHT I WATCHED THE 4 HEADLESS CHICKENS BEHIND THE COUNTER SERVE 1 PERSON AFTER ANOTHER EVEN ALTHOUGH MY MAC WAS READY. I GOT CHIPS AND A FREE DARK HAIR IN WITH THE CHIPS .. OBVIOUSLY THERE BINNED NOW. MY MACARONI AND LACK OF CHEESE WAS A LOVELY PLASTIC TASTE. DUE TO THE MICROWAVABLE DISH USED TO REHEAT IT IN. AND THE FISH ... HMMM. IT DID HAVE TASTE AND MOST OF THE SMALL BONES WHERE STILL IN IT. YOUR FRYER SHOULD NOTICE THIS ... SO IN ALL MY MAC TASTED OF PLASTIC CHIPS HAD HAIRS FISH FULL OF BONES rest was in bin I can only show the pubic style hair in the chips and the plastic reheated mac. Well seen April is almost over doing the shop up... was that suggested by yer accountant and yer prices are way over the top YER A CHIPPY FFS fekn TALLYS YER JUST LIKE PAVAROTTI OVERPRICED & GREASY ..
Love this place, the chips are always the right balance of fluffy vs crispy. My wife loves the homemade steak pie. Great traditional fish and chip shop with a few modern extras. Covid safe, and helpful friendly staff.
The food is top quality but a bit over the price
Worth the trip. Probably cheaper options available. Friendly, efficient service.
