Lovely pub that has some excellent friendly and helpful staff. Food was top notch. Shame on my visit several cask lines were not on, and no keg offering for proper craft beer fans. Some cask being out of stock might be down to current circumstances. I would certainly recommend for food. Kids portion was generous too.

Really like the wide variety of food on offer on the Jacob's Well menu. Food is much better than your usual pub grub, beautifully cooked and served. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. There was a good choice of Thwaites beers. I thoroughly recommend this pub as reasonably priced place for you and the family to eat.

My wife and I have visited on many occasions and once again today was excellent, this place never ceases to leave you feeling warmly welcomed and well fed and watered. Management and waiting staff are attentive, friendly and always happy to chat, and the locally sourced home made food that comes out of the kitchen is some of the best for miles around. The decor and ambience are spot on for a country pub and whether it's a special occasion or just a last minute jaunt out for lunch I cannot think of a better establishment of it's kind within the Huddersfield and wider area. We can't wait to head back soon (masks adorned) and will keep our fingers crossed the pub can continue to thrive throughout these uncertain times within the hospitality sector.

So good to get out for our first pub meal. As always the service and food was excellent. Felt very safe in these strange times, table's well spaced out and hand gel everywhere. Thanks to all the staff for a great evening out.

Never disappointed. Best steaks for miles. Food great, excellent staff and lager's always cold with plenty of life. Can't recommend this place enough.
