Such a beautiful part of Devon with views out to sea at the top. Gardens at the top of the ladder are stunning and perfect place for a picnic or to stop for a snack / drink at the clock tower cafe at the top.

Just one of those places you have to visit for the view right on the edge of Conought garden. A staircase from the top of the cliff to the beach Always a good idea to find out if the stairs are open, due to maintenance or weather conditions. There is a good restaurant at the top which is pretty good
We had a wonderful day in Sidmouth starting with coffee at the Clock Tower Cafe, no cake, too early. A walk along the front and lunch at Selleys Cafe which was very good. Will return, Ian, Pat & Margaret. 01/06/2019.
Climbed Jacobs Ladder just before New Year. It was closed first lockdown. Good to see it open again.
I come here very frequently and this location has so much to give. In the daytime it is just a fantastic beach with the clocktower cafe right next to it. This beach is normally less full than some of the beeches right at Sidmouth's front which is quite nice. At night time, as my photos show, this can be an amazing spot to see stars, as the bright lights from Sidmouth interfere less. My first photo shows the milky way, with the bright white dot in the centre being Jupiter and the white dot to the left of that Saturn. I think the orange light on the horizon is a ship but obviously I can't be sure.
