Summary: Lead times are much longer than quoted, instead of taking 3 week it took 2months. Part of the fence came damaged and the order was missing the fence posts. The fence does look nice but not worth the extra money. the delivery driver was great and they do respond to emails. Would use them again? No NB: Jackson only give you a ‘delivery week’ not a delivery day when placing the order. This is difficult if you don’t work at home. You then get 24hr notice before the delivery. Delivery is only supposed to be curb-side so you should be there to accept it. I don’t know how they expect you to be there to accept a delivery. Details: When placing the order, Fabian from Jackson fencing quoted a 3 week lead time. Straight after ordering the lead time went up to 5 weeks. Someone either made a mistake or was telling a fib about 3 weeks. Then I demolishing the old fence in preparation of the new one arrived only to find a few days later Jackson then emailing that lead time would now be 8weeks! I was also splitting the cost of the fence with the neighbours who I convinced we should go for this more expensive fence as it could be delivered sooner than your standard fence from B&Q and the like. Turned out demolishing the Old fence was a huge mistake as next door is a set of flats with a communal garden and one of the flats got rented out to some obnoxious Airbnb guests. When the fence arrived, it was missing the posts! And one panel was damaged, not a problem for me as I need to cut down a panel and can cut out the damage. Have to say though the delivery guy was great and very helpful, I live in a place with a difficult delivery and he just got on with it with a smile. Advice to Jackson fencing, 1) be honest with lead times from the outset. 2) when emailing out delays, be sympathetic 3) give more then 24hr notice when the fence will be delivered, this is very difficult to accept for anyone who doesn’t work at home.
