Simon and his colleagues were so very helpful and compassionate as we made the arrangements to bury my father in March 2020. He made the chapel of rest available at short notice, so that I could properly say goodbye to him. My mother and I were able to telephone whenever we had a query, and Simon was able to answer all of our questions. Everything was explained thoroughly, and with the utmost care and compassion. This is exactly what you need when you are grieving. I would not hesitate to recommend J G Fielder & Son. The service and support that we received was excellent, and we were able to say goodbye and pay tribute to a beloved family member in exactly the way we wanted. Big heartfelt thanks to jon Kirkman from myself and my small family group he looked after my late husband with the up most care and dignity .He suggested the ebor chapel at York crematorium it was very personal and handled every detail so professional but taking time to remember we were all grieving and looked after everyone of us . Brilliant from the word go. I would not use anyone else in York, Simon Aston looked after us from the first telephone call to the end and I could not have had better service anywhere, he was there at the end of the phone at anytime and such kindness, and even a sense of fun when it was needed. When my wife and best friend passed away 3 weeks ago at the age of 32 my whole World was turned upside down. For a start she passed away in South Shields near Newcastle and I didn't have a clue what to. My family had dealt with John Tattersall at JG Fielder and son before so they were straight on to him. John had her to York as soon as her body was released and came straight out to see me. He was more then just a funeral director, he was a great support who helped me keep it together when I would of otherwise cracked. He did everything I requested, even getting a custom order bright red coffin. John and his team really have done my wife proud and have being an amazing help and support to me and our very young children. These last few weeks have being the hardest time of my life and John Tattersall and the team at Fielders really have being amazing from the word go. Me and all my family will never use anyone but Fielders after this, thank you for everything
