Good food but our waitress was very inattentive. I'm not sure if this is one of those places were everyone is your server but when we were seated, we were told our waitress would be with us momentarily. After a few minutes, the gentleman who sat us actually came back and took our drink order and appetizer order. After he left was when our waitress appeared with our drinks and said the appetizer would be out shortly. We didn't see her again until she brought our check. Someone else came by and took our food order. I ordered the meatloaf and boyfriend ordered the sweet tea braised pork chop. The food was seasoned beautifully. I hate Brussel sprouts but these were amazing! Nice and crispy and packed with flavor. I snuck a bite of the pork chop and it was delicious! They definitely have mastered the art of southern cooking with a flare here

Very cool and spacious interior. Considerate packaging (separate container for the grits and shrimp/sauce) and great food. Ordered a takeout for shrimp and grits. Grits were less grainy than the ones I've tried at other restaurants, and it went perfectly well with the shrimp and the oily sauce.
This place is so amazing. I've always had a great experience. Tonight we had the cheese grits, collards, avocado hash, crispy cauliflower, and fried green tomatoes, everything was delightful and amazing.
I really love this place... but it’s extremely annoying that I can’t make sure my egg is fried hard in a skillet. I absolutely detest runny eggs and sometimes they’ll look out for me but today on Valentine’s Day the server was very snippy about no modifications. I didn’t ask for it differently I just wanted my egg cooked longer. Love the bottomless mimosas though.
Pleasant surprise! Kinda stumbled into this location, right in the heart of West Village on Main St. It was brunch time on Saturday. The bar area had really cushioned seating. The menu was intersecting. I actually had the smoked wings and my date had an omelet. We both enjoyed the bottomless Mimosas for 12/each. We had a good experience here, and the service was very good too. The service was so good that by the end, I had no idea how many times we had been topped off on out drinks. Haha. It was all good. It's a Southern Thing didn't really stand out and differentiate itself to me, but it was good. No complaints. I would definitely good back. The had a nice lil patio outside too. I think that'd be a fun place to hang out. Good for groups. Good for dates. Good for kids.
