Very picturesque place. Definitely one of those places to visit when you head to Isabela Province.
Magat Dam ️ It is one of the largest dams in the Philippines.
if you would like to visit a beautiful dam and reservoir, with scenic beauty, this is one of the best place in Philippines. it is a large rock-fill dam in the island of Luzon in the Philippines. Magat Dam is one of the largest dams in the Philippines. The dam is on the Magat River, a major tributary of Cagayan River. Construction of the dam started in 1975 and was completed in 1982. It is a multi-purpose dam which is used primarily for irrigating about 85,000 hectares (210,000 acres) of agricultural lands, there is one large hydraulic power plant also with the dam...
Recommended for short visit and sight-seeing. A nice place to appreciate nature if you're from Manila.
There aren’t really activities here. You can just enjoy the view and the fresh air. If you want to experience something different you can rent a boat and it will traverse the dam until somewhere in Alfonso. I can’t remember the place but it was a great experience for me. You can see floating houses and the fish pens. The boat guy whom we rented brought us to one fish pen and he allowed us to feed the fishes. It was a totally cool experience. The view is spectacular and the scenery is peaceful. We rented the boat for 500php.
The boat ride around the resevoir is so nice and breezy! The houses surrounded are quite interesting. The 1000 step short hike in this area is quite nice, but the turn off to the access road is before the dam.
A gorgeous man made dam...
