I've worked in Oil & Gas for 15 years for multiple large, publicly traded operators. I can say without hesitation that working at Guidon is the best job I've had in my career. The company leadership, communication, ethics, and transparency from the top down is outstanding. Guidon's has a great reputation with landowners and partners in the Midland Basin because we treat people and their land the right way and we do what we say we are going to do. Both the office environment and meetings are typically light-hearted and fun and everyone is treated with respect. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I’ve been working with Guidon Energy /Swallowtail Royalties for almost 2 years as a contractor as well as an employee. I have worked closely with each department and I can honestly say we have a lean strong team of managers and employees who all are hardworking, knowledgeable as well as dedicated to making sure we have a strong presence in the industry. Jay Still, our President, is by far the most compassionate, honest and caring employer I’ve worked for in years. He truly cares about each and every employee - no matter your level. I’d like to also add that I’ve read the bad reviews attached to this company and am very shocked. In my observation from working at Guidon these bad reviews are far from the truth and must be from a disgruntled prior employee or contractor. Guidon uses outside companies for background checks, revenue processing and payroll that are very professional. Audits are conducted by using outside reputable audit firms as well on all areas of Guidon. You will see bad reviews for many companies. I agree not all are false but I can pretty much guarantee these are. Just my opinion as an employee who knows all these reviews have false names attached that are not prior employee or contractor names.

This company hires anyone without checking there educational background. Be careful in trusting your finances with a company that does not do their due diligence during the hiring process. These reviews speak a clear truth besides the ones from employees.

Corporate fraud at it’s finest. One day we’ll read about this company in a way similar to Bernie Madoff. Anyone interested in purchasing this company should really do their homework.

Used to work in accounting But management pushed me out after speaking up regarding finances and numbers not adding up correctly. There’s a lot of debt. More debt than incoming. Most of the company has been waiting for this big sale to happen. Meanwhile all the “work” isn’t really work but a series of re-classifying numbers (over and over) in effort to hide what’s really going on.

I wouldn’t trust this company with your finances they have an employee who works for them named Julianna Compean,who didn’t even finish high school. But yet they trust her with accounting and financing please tell me how this makes sense. After reading these other reviews, I agree yes stay away unless you want your finances done by a high school dropout.
