Johnny is right. During 3L they suddenly required students to get B or higher in 3 or more of the bar tested subjects in order to graduate. They called those foundation points. If you did not earn enough, the would not allow you to graduate and sit for the bar. They \graciously\ allowed those students to keep attended for free until they earned enough points or were discouraged enough to quit. The goal was to drop as many poor performing students as possible to prevent them from taking the bar to artificially inflate WSU's bar pass rates. If they did it to us, they will do it to you. Persons of color were specifically targeted for this scheme. I urge you to look into it and do no enroll here.

Western State is a profit driven school that DOES NOT CARE about students. I went here years ago and they devised a scheme to kick out poor performing students by changing the graduation requirements in the last year.

Western State is a private, for-profit law school. This is a highly unethical business, that will not leave you empowered, but rather a victim.

Western State (WSCL) provided for me one of the best educations in the nation. I am currently pursuing my LL.M. at one of the top ranked schools located in NYC; thus, I can compare my experience at WSCL to that of another fine institution. The aesthetics of WSCL are not great nor is location, but hopefully the change of campuses will fix all that. Regardless, it's about substance and that's what WSCL provides. The teachers push you like no other and are some of the best one could ask for both in class and outside of it. At the end of the day, it's all about passing the bar on your first attempt and that's exactly what WSCL demands of its students. As far as job placement goes, WSCL is definitely moving in the right direction. Keep in mind whether you go to WSCL or Stanford, your future employment will be dependent upon you.

This is a corporation. Not a school. You will regret going to this business.
